Pick Up Your
Child’s Chart

Starting Sunday, Jan 10th, your child will be able to pick up a “21 Day Challenge Chart” and stickers while at church. For each day that your child completes the daily challenge, they can place a sticker on their chart to track their progress. When they finish the chart, you’ll be able to email us a picture of your child so we can hook them up with a sweet prize and celebrate their accomplishment! If you need a chart before Sunday, just swing by Active Coffee Co. and we’ll hook you up!

How To Prepare

As you and your family gear up for the 21 days, I highly encourage you to decide on a time, place, and translation.

Time

Decide on what time each day you are going to go through the reading and devotional video. Before school, after dinner, at bedtime, whatever is best for your family’s schedule!

Place

Find a spot in your home where you’ll meet up each day. A comfortable spot free of distractions is probably best!

Translation

The Bible reading portion of the 21 Day Challenge is best suited for children in elementary and up. A great translation for this age group is the NIRV. You can find it on the Bible App for free. https://www.bible.com/app

Text

To receive the daily content simply text “prayer” to 805.719.7731. Here, will send you content for you and your child!

Pray

Finally, begin to pray that God will use this time to draw you closer to your child and Jesus.

Pro Tip

As you get into the 21 days, don’t be surprised if it doesn’t seem like your child is super engaged or retaining much of what was covered. You’re not doing anything wrong – they’re just being kids. Coming from someone who has taught children the Bible for the last 15+ years, you can hardly ever tell that meaningful spiritual formation is happening in their heart. Instead, it often looks like squirming and them answering questions with, “I don’t know.” You’ll be surprised by how much they’ll recall days or weeks after you finish. Just keep going, mom and dad!

Bible Engagement
For Younger Kids

If you have younger kids, the devotional video by itself may prove to be just the right amount of content. The full Bible reading can be a lot for a preschooler to try to listen to. Instead, we encourage you to download the free Bible App For Kids. It’s a fantastic app that condenses Bible stories down and makes them highly engaging. You can through a story each day with your little one for them to earn their daily sticker! https://bibleappforkids.com
